Who's ready for Read-A-Thon!!!!  Read-A-Thon (RAT) is an 11-day-long reading marathon that takes place from Friday, January 22nd through Monday, February 1st.  Students read as many books as they can during this time to help improve their literacy skills.  Read-A-Thon has always been a time honored, child-driven fundraiser for all kindergarten through fourth grade students at Julia Green. Last year, students took pride in reading over 40,000 books during Read-A-Thon to achieve levels of reading recognition and win many incredible prizes.

Family Sponsors: We invite you to show your support of RAT by becoming a Host Family, where all proceeds go directly to the Julia Green PTO! https://www.juliagreen.org/readathon

• Silver Hosts $100 – Your family name will be on the RAT website and receive a shout-out on the Julia Green Instagram account thanking you for your support as a Silver Host!

We have had several questions regarding related arts for the Spring Semester.  When the district returned to virtual learning in November, in-person students had enough grades in related arts to wrap up the semester without additional graded assignments.   However, we are now starting a new semester.  While attendance does not directly impact students' summative grades, all students should understand that every subject is "required," and that includes related arts classes.  Students are strongly encouraged to attend synchronous sessions, but if they cannot, those sessions are recorded for students to view at a later time.  Grades in related arts will come from asynchronous work assigned by each teacher, and it will be clearly communicated which assignments will be graded.  Please reach out to the related arts teachers with any questions.
In order to collect photos for the 2020-2021 yearbook, we are asking for your help! Please select the appropriate grade level, and use the links below to upload the following:

One individual headshot of your child. Please be sure the photo is clear and free of a busy background. The photo should be of your child alone (no other people, pets, etc.). This will represent your student on his/her class page, so show us your best smile and dress to impress! Save your file with your child’s first and last name and teacher’s name prior to uploading.

Optional – Fun photos of your child learning at home! These will be incorporated on grade-level collage pages. Please upload no more than 3 photos per student. Not all photos will be used.
