Dean's Welcome
Greetings, Hull Alumni and Friends!
August is here and that means a new Academic Year is under way! As summer turns to fall, Hull College welcomed back its returning students and had a number of events to greet its new students which are chronicled in this month’s Inside Hull.
Our on-campus MBA program welcomed its newest cohort, which is at capacity, with an in-person Welcome Reception to kick off the program. All of our returning MBA students were also invited to attend since this was our first in-person reception since January 2020. We had a great crowd who enjoyed a nice meal, a short program, and lots of networking. We are excited to have our latest Hull MBA class who continue to make our program stronger.
At the undergraduate level, Augusta University held its Freshman Convocation to welcome the Class of 2025. Following the Convocation, Hull College faculty, staff, and administrators greeted our new freshmen at a brunch on the lawn of the Summerville campus. We are excited to work with our new freshmen as we prepare them for great careers in business.
This issue of Inside Hull is not limited to our new students. We highlight one of our best and brightest, Chelsie Smith, who started at AU as a nursing student, transferred to business and has been selected to our honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma for her outstanding academic success. Now, she has joined our CAP Center as a student assistant. You will also read about one of our outstanding young alumni, Jerod Carrier, a basketball student-athlete at AU, who is now working for the NFL’s Washington Football Team.
We are off to a fast start in Academic Year 2021-2022! But take a moment to look back at 2020-2021, as our Hull College Annual Report is now available online. I think you will be proud of your business school!
