Approaching Stanford Forms Due Wednesday, June 7 at 5:00 PM PDT
Give yourself a few hours, work on them in any order, just save as you go! Once the deadline passes, we will begin accessing your information.
Office Hours with Approaching Stanford Staff
Wednesday, June 7, 9AM and 1PM PT | Zoom Link
We're here to help! Stop by our Drop-In Office Hours with your questions and chat with staff. Or feel free to email, call, and post in Slack or in the Canvas Q&A Boards.
System Time-Out ErrorsThe Forms system is sensitive and can time-out if you have been idle for a period of time. Be sure to save as you go, especially after resolving errors on a form or after you change your rankings for housing or COLLEGE preferences. We recommend writing long responses (Letter of Intro, Housing) in a separate doc and copying/pasting them into the Forms. If you receive an error message logging into the forms, try clearing your cache/cookies first before opening a new browser window to log in.
Preferred Name & Photo on SUID CardYour preferred name and the photo you upload will be printed on your Stanford University ID (SUID) card. Be sure to update your preferred name by June 30. Log in to Axess and look for "Names" under the "My Information" tab. Please also review all of your Personal Information under this tab in Axess and make any additional updates, as needed.
Student Information UpdateOn the Forms, you are asked to complete the Student Information Update in Axess. Axess recently received a visual refresh, so the link to this item no longer appears. Since we have not received an update yet for when the Student Info Update "To-Do" item will be placed on your Axess accounts, you may check the box without completing this action item and submit your Forms. We will remind you later this summer when it becomes available.

Stanford Pre-Orientation ProgramsStanford offers the following Pre-Orientation Programs for new students to meet each other in small group settings just before New Student Orientation (NSO) begins. All programs are optional, except ISO which is required for international students. Registration forms and applications are now available and will close in June on the posted deadlines. You may apply to multiple programs, but can only attend one pre-orientation program.
On-Campus ProgramsInternational Student Orientation (ISO): Overseen by the Bechtel International Center, ISO supports your transition to living in the U.S. through presentations, panel discussions, and social activities. All new international students who must attend the mandatory immigration session with Bechtel are required to attend ISO and cannot sign up for an additional pre-orientation program. U.S. citizens living abroad and permanent residents do not attend ISO, though you may request to attend if you have never previously lived in the U.S.
