GEC Startup Spotlight: ESTAT Actuation


The CMU Graduate Entrepreneurship Club (GEC) is highlighting ESTAT Actuation for this week's spotlight. ESTAT is a deep-tech hardware company pioneering components that make customer designs safer, more capable and less expensive. The company boosts performance with clutches and brakes that are 10x lighter and 1,000x more efficient than conventional components.

The VentureBridge Summer Accelerator is a 12-week program that helps CMU startups by investing capital ($25K SAFE Note), providing office space in Silicon Valley, New York and Pittsburgh, as well as making introductions to mentors, experts and investors.

Eligible teams must have at least one CMU affiliated alumni founder. All applications must include a pitch deck and a two-minute pitch video. Applications are due by
Friday, March 31, 2023 at midnight.

The McGinnis Venture Competition is a platform exclusively for Carnegie Mellon University's community of student entrepreneurs, bringing together the best and brightest students to compete for $60K in investments. Participants receive crucial interaction with alumni entrepreneurs and venture capitalists for an opportunity to raise capital and receive valuable feedback about their ventures.
