Notre Dame supports Harvard, MIT in lawsuit

The University joined 58 other institutions of higher learning as amici in support of a court motion by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from expelling international students enrolled at institutions that opted against in-person classes this fall due to coronavirus. Faculty, post-docs and staff to receive three masks

The University has purchased more than 66,000 masks for faculty, post docs, and staff. Upon returning to campus, you should receive three cloth face coverings. They come in different designs and can be washed at home. While the fabric masks are aesthetically pleasing, they will serve a greater purpose — keeping our community safe. (More...)

Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore is open, with precautions  

Little by little, Notre Dame is reopening with safety measures in place to protect people from the coronavirus. The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore is one of those locations. Face coverings are required to enter. “This is one more step toward welcoming our beloved students this fall,” says Micki Kidder, vice president for University Enterprises and Events. (More...)

Marie Lynn Miranda, the Charles and Jill Fischer Provost of the University of Notre Dame, spent her first full week on the job moving into her office and holding meetings. Among the prized possessions Miranda unpacked for her office is the master’s degree in engineering that her father earned from Notre Dame. (More...)
