UACS Virtual Enrichment Programming Coming Your Way!

Dear UACS families,

We are planning to roll out UACS Virtual Enrichment Programming on Tuesday, April 21st! We will be using the Google Meet platform for virtual enrichment sessions moving forward. Stay tuned for details on the schedule and type of enrichment activities offered. Your UACS Site Director will be reaching out with additional information soon! With all the changes occurring, it's easy to forget that we have a presidential election this year! This includes the Pennsylvania primary election, scheduled for June 2nd. Take the first step towards making your voice heard - on everything from local taxes to the next President of the United States - by registering to vote by May 18. City-Wide Updates

Following CDC recommendations, the city is encouraging residents to wear cloth masks when it is hard to keep safe distances from others. This could include going food shopping, going to work, or if you live in a group setting. Click below for details on how to make alternative face masks!

Penn Updates

As of April 13th, Penn announced that all summer courses and in-person programs must be delivered remotely or online. There will be no summer programs offered in-person on campus, including summer camps and summer courses. Click below for more details!

School District of Philadelphia Updates

The District will remain physically closed for the rest of the school year due to COVID-19. However, while school buildings are closed, learning can and will continue for students. The District’s remote learning plan will officially begin on April 20. Click below for more details!

UACS Nights is going virtual!
UACS Nights is providing fun activities for families in the evenings, starting Tuesday, April 14th. For the weekly live events below, “Like” our Facebook page: UACSNights_NetterCenter and join our live stream! 

Tuesdays:  Line Dancing with In The Dance LLC | 6 PM-8 PM
Learn choreographed line dancing such as the electric slide, the cupid shuffle, the wobble etc. to R&B and hip-hop songs!

Wednesdays: Cooking with Families provided by Chef Karima Roepel | 6 PM- 8 PM
Running out of meal ideas? Learn creative quick meals that you can make using items that are likely found in your kitchen. We also provide resource lists for free/low-cost food pantries.

Thursdays: Painting at Home with Latonia Brown | 6 PM- 8 PM
Through the medium of art, watch Instructor Latonia create masterpieces from her home. Feel free to join her by creating your own work of art! 

Friday: Covid-19 Mic Check | 6 PM-7 PM
