Patrick Henry School of Science & Arts – Ms. Fatima Smith believes that every child - regardless of zip code or socioeconomic status - deserves an exceptional educational experience. Prior to being appointed as the new principal of PHSSA, Ms. Smith served as a principal in Philadelphia, where her students experienced notable gains in achievement. Previously, Ms. Smith served as an assistant principal and taught secondary English, writing, and art history in Washington, DC and in Brooklyn, NY. Ms. Smith holds a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University, and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from St. John's University.
Richmond Virtual Academy (RVA) – Dr. Cyndi Robinson has served for over 15 years as a passionate educator dedicated to making school a space of joy, community, and robust learning for every student. Prior to her appointment at RVA, Dr. Robinson served RPS as a high school English teacher, an ITRT, and a leader of the early design our middle school STEM academies. Dr. Robinson has also served as a coach for the Richmond Teacher Residency, a facilitator for the New Teacher Center mentor training, and an adjunct professor for curriculum and instruction at VCU. Dr. Robinson is a proud RPS alumna who earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Virginia and her doctoral degree in educational leadership from George Washington University.
