Greetings from the University Staff Advisory Council!

June Meeting Highlights

  • Michael "Mike" McDonald, President and CEO of the Vanderbilt Credit Union was our keynote speaker. He highlighted the benefits of joining the credit union such as great auto rates, fixed credit card rates and the Christmas Club. VCU is not a for-profit whose mission is to help the Vanderbilt community educate, heal, innovate and ultimately be in a better financial position.

  • End of the year awards were presented and each USAC Representative received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions to USAC. We also recognized Adam McKeever-Burgett as the Karen Dolan Spirit Award recipient, Staff Life as the Committee of the Year and Denise Johnson and Jennifer Bennett for Committee Members of the Year.

  • Upon the conclusion of the meeting, the gavel was passed to Amanda Harding who will officially begin her term as the President of USAC July 1, 2022. Other elected officers for 2022-2023 include Adam McKeever-Burgett as Vice-President/President Elect, LaDonna Smith as Treasurer and Lynn Maddox as Secretary. We are excited to support them in these roles and are looking forward to the next year.
