January 2021 Teacher of the Month - Cody Sivertsen
Teacher of the month, Cody Sivertsen received his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Okla. City University.
Cody has taught social studies at Cooper Middle school since 2016, serves as the department chair, and has served as the head wrestling coach at two middle schools.
He is a member of the Putnam City Association of Classroom Teachers, was named a Top Five Excellent Educator in Putnam City Schools, has consulted for the Okla. Alliance for Geography Education and has conferred on the Okla. Geography Standards Frameworks for the Okla. State Department of Education.
Cody has a desire to influence students to change the world around them and ensure their voices are heard.
He spends his free time with his wife, their 3 month old baby girl, and their two dogs.
