   EAGLE ALERT TEST
UNT will conduct a test of the Eagle Alert system on Friday, Jan. 27. The system, used to notify the UNT community about emergency situations and university closings, will send text and voice messages by phone and display a full-screen test alert on computer and presentation screens. Follow @UNTEagleAlert on Twitter to get emergency updates in real time. After the test, we recommend that you save the number your Eagle Alert test came from in your phone contacts as “Eagle Alert” so that it doesn’t show up as "unknown" in the future.

  CHILTON HALL
Last Week’s UNT Weekly issue asked, “Which campus building was used to house Army Air Corps soldiers from 1942 to 1943?” The correct answer is Chilton Hall. Opened in 1938 on the west side of Avenue C, Chilton Hall faced tennis courts that were located behind the Orchestra Hall (now the location of the Music Building). Chilton Hall’s outside walls originally formed a U-shaped courtyard, and renovations in the late 1980s preserved them as interior walls. Today the building houses offices and classrooms as well as the Media Library. Thank you for your participation and stay tuned for the next contest question.
