Speech and Debate students compete in Arizona |
This past weekend, Speech and Debate students traveled with coach Ambrose Ferber to compete in the HDSHC Invitational at Arizona State University in Tempe. The National Circuit tournament featured competitors from around the country, and the trip was a collaborative experience between Prep, Albuquerque Academy, and East Mountain High School.
This was the first tournament experience for Eliza Badner-Lane '25, who received positive rankings and feedback from judges. Virginia Moore '24 and Andrea Voinescu '25 competed in Varsity Policy Debate, an extremely technical and notoriously challenging event. The duo was competitive in each of their rounds and won one of them.
Congratulations, debaters!
