The "magic of new beginnings" is palpable as the long summer days come to an end and the crisp cool nights begin to roll in. Every August since Kindergarten I have felt the nervous anticipation for the start of the school year, either as a student or an educator. And in that way, this year is no different despite all of the uncertainty locally, nationally, and globally. The seasons will change. The school year will start. It's time to trust the magic of a new beginning.
Although this is not the way we want to start the school year, the Bainbridge High School staff is excited to welcome high school students "back to school" in a few short weeks. We have been working all summer to prepare for the shifting landscape of teaching and learning and will be ready to launch on Wednesday, September 2nd.
To help you conceptualize what school will look like for high school students this Fall, we are sharing the weekly academic schedule for remote Continuous Learning with you today. The weekly schedule is linked here for your reference and will be sent to students via frogrock email.
More details about individual student schedules and the month of September will be provided in a newsletter by the end of next week ~ stay tuned. We appreciate your patience as we work to schedule 1300 students into hybrid AM/PM and 100% online schedules on a tight timeline. We continue to place students at the center of our work and this individual care takes time. Thank you for your partnership.
