UMKC Parent & Family Programs Newsletter

Welcome from Dr. Kristi Holsinger
Greeting to our parents and families of incoming and returning UMKC students! We are working hard to welcome students for the start of the fall semester. COVID-19 has had a profound effect on our lives, and may for some time, but this pandemic will eventually pass. We hope to keep these challenging circumstances from putting the goals of our students on hold. Whether it's enhanced health and safety measures to protect our UMKC community, or format flexible classes to meet the needs of every student, we are #RooReady. If you missed our June Town Halls, I encourage you to check them out on our UMKC Facebook Page, as they contain answers to many of your questions. It is my job to help address any barriers to success your student may face, so I encourage you to reach out to me as needed. These are unprecedented times. Our UMKC faculty and staff are committed to providing the best experience possible as we all engage in new ways of living, learning, and supporting our Roo family.

With Roo Pride,
Dr. Kristi Holsinger, Interim Senior Vice Provost for Student Success

It is our hope to re-imagine parent and family programming in a new format for Fall 2020, and postpone our in-person celebration until 2021.
