June 13, 2022

Dear Friends,

If you can recall from your own childhood, that sheer excitement of the last week of school is upon us! I want to recognize each and every one of our students for having a highly successful year after returning from hybrid and virtual learning - all agree that the fun in going to school is back.

Countless thanks and appreciation to our staff and parents for supporting our students' journey this year. While it was bumpy back in the fall, we can all sit back and feel so grateful that our children progressed academically as well as socially and emotionally over the course of this year.

In closing, sincere best wishes to our fourth graders as they advance to Sakai and to everyone for an enjoyable summer break!

Best,
Debra

ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL (ABC) CHECK-IN PROCESS

It's that time of year!

Our Annual Back to school Check-in process (ABC) is open and available by logging in to your Family Access account.
It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete the process for each BISD child in your household.

IMPORTANT: The ABC 22-23 process must be completed before you can access your student's class placement or class schedule for 2022-23. Class placements/schedules will be available in late August.

SUMMER WEEKLY MEALS

Youth Summer Weekly Meal Bags

Helpline House, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island, is offering Weekly Youth Meal Bags during the summer break.

Beginning the week of June 20 through the first week of September, the Weekly Summer Youth Meal Bags will be available for any youth (ages 0-18) on the island who is food insecure. Being in need does not mean the cupboards are bare but rather that there is not enough food available. Each bag contains food for breakfast, lunch and a snack for a week.
The bags may be picked up at Helpline House, 282 Knechtel Way NE, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. starting on Tuesday, June 21.

Helpline House is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. NOTE: Helpline House will be closed on June 21, July 4 and September 5 for federal holidays.
If you need the bags delivered to you please contact Sarah Frost, BISD Social Worker at sfrost@bisd303.org by June 15 to set this up.
