Duke Student Affairs

March 9, 2022

Dear students,
We enjoyed seeing many of you out on East and on the BC plaza last week and around Cameron and KVille last Saturday. Thanks to all of the student leaders and staff who've worked hard in recent weeks to help restore Duke's sense of community through planning and joining concerts, events, leadership elections, town hall events, and so much more. We hope the momentum toward this more vibrant community continues after spring break.

By now you've seen the updated mask guidance; please be sure to keep your masks with you when you need them for class and other settings.
Whether you're in Durham this week or travelling, please get some rest and take a moment to reflect on all you've accomplished so far this year. See you on campus soon.

Go Duke,

Gary Bennett, Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education
Mary Pat McMahon, Vice Provost of Student Affairs

Campus Resource Reminders

In a message from Student Affairs on Saturday morning, a reminder of resources available to students was listed, ranging from Emergency Services and wellness opportunities to additional resources like our Identity & Cultural Centers. We cannot repeat these to you enough, and we encourage you to reach out should you need to talk or if you are concerned about a friend or fellow student.

Looking for Ukraine-related resources? Check out this list from Duke's Office of Global Affairs:

Meet the Young Trustee finalists

Meet the Young Trustee finalists on Tuesday, March 15, from 6-7:30 p.m. in Penn Pavilion. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from each of the three finalists, then provide feedback via a survey. Young Trustee is an important role and your participation in this process is very much valued and appreciated.
Those who attend in person will receive a to-go dinner following the event. In addition, there will be a raffle for prizes. Only individuals who attended the meeting or watched the recording and submitted a feedback survey will be eligible for the raffle.
