Hello BHS Community ~

It may be hard to believe, but when we return from mid-winter break, we begin somewhat of a transition into beginning to think more officially about planning for next year and beyond - first up is our Beyond BHS event which is back in person this year on March 2nd. The following week, Counselors will be visiting classrooms to talk to returning BHS students about class selection for next year. We will be hosting a future freshman night for 8th grade students and their families the evening of March 14th to showcase our wonderful school and talk about the transition from middle to high school. Lots to look forward to for sure!

Have a wonderful week off from school!

PTSO NEWS

Thank you, PTSO Volunteers!

Thank you so much to the Bainbridge Youth Services counselors for leading a Fireside Chat at our February PTSO meeting. The counselors answered parent and guardian questions and shared the many ways BYS promotes youth mental health and wellness in our community. If you missed the meeting, you’ll have another chance to connect with BYS staff at our March 7th meeting. We’ll be joined by Shannon Amelang, BYS Family Services Manager, who’ll talk about the programs that support parents and guardians, as well as members of the BYS Service Club, who’ll share all the ways they support their peers and the Bainbridge community. Please join us from 7-8 p.m. in the BHS Library—and bring a friend!

Candy Fridays are as popular as ever, and the Candy Friday Sponsorships have been a huge hit this year. We have a couple months still in need of a sponsor, so please reach out if you or your business would like to support this beloved BHS tradition. You can learn more about sponsorships here.

One of our favorite events of the year is coming up: the Pi Day staff luncheon on March 14. Whether you like to bake pies (or anything round), get creative with pi-related decorations, or help serve our wonderful staff, we’d love to have you join us. Please watch for a sign-up after mid-winter break.
