Cancer is a word that nobody likes to hear, and cancer that can cause vocal damage is a phrase that no professional singer ever wants to even think about.
When Grammy-nominated Christian music artist Natalie Grant found out that she had two worrisome tumors, she turned to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and underwent surgery to remove half of her thyroid.
Thanks to her faith, support system and the lifesaving care at Vanderbilt-Ingram―care that would not be possible without generous donors―she is now cancer-free with full restoration of her voice.
Natalie says that her compassionate care team at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center was the best of the best. They made her feel totally at ease and even played her music in the operating room during surgery.
