The New York Premiere may have been cut short due to Covid-19, but Atlantic Theater Company persisted, reuniting the team against all odds — from New York to California, Tennessee, Kentucky and beyond to bring you an awe-inspiring virtual remount of last season’s Off Broadway Alliance Award winner for “Best Family Show.”
In this trailblazing musical for young audiences based on Chelsea Clinton’s best-selling book, fourth-grader Naomi’s field trip to a Women’s History Museum turns into a time travel adventure where she encounters inspirational women overcoming barriers and making waves. She Persisted, The Musical is a rallying cry for all of those tiny feminists, mini activists and little ones ready to take on the world, one dream at a time! Recommended for children 5+ but welcomes kids (and adults) of all ages.

Green (BSC’s The Hills Are Alive with Rodgers & Hammerstein; Broadway’s School of Rock), Alysha Umphress (BSC’s The Hills Are Alive with Rodgers & Hammerstein; Broadway/BSC’s On the Town) and Joel Waggoner (Composer: BSC’s Presto Change-o; Performer: Broadway’s School of Rock). They will sing some hilarious new holiday songs, some feel-good traditional songs and provide lots of holiday cheer — filmed in the theatre for your viewing pleasure at home.

New York Theatre Barn
Now in its 13th season, New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series presents exclusive “pre-premieres” of new musicals in the early stages of development. New York Theatre Barn is keeping original live theatre alive during this unprecedented time. From our homes to yours, we are excited to share and experience the magic of live theatre in development.
This installment will be a 45-minute virtual live stream which will include excerpts from two new musicals: 
  • Our New Town (by Gabriel Jason Dean, Jessie Dean and David Dabbon) - After the deadliest shooting on a college campus in U.S. history, the surviving cast members of the university production of Our Town put together an unauthorized show as a way to unite. When that unauthorized show is stopped mid-performance, the cast and audience must decide to comply or continue in their rebellion.
  • Elektric (by Emerson Mae and Murphy Taylor Smith) - A pair of twins, one cisgender, one transgender. Reunited after a decade by a God-sent mission: kill their mother to avenge their father. An epic trans woman centered musical retelling of the Elektra tragedy.

A German soldier steps into No Man’s Land singing “Stille Nacht,” thus, beginning an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music and peace. A remarkable true story told in the words of the men who lived it, the docu-musical All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 relives the moment when Allied and German soldiers laid down their arms to celebrate the holiday together during World War I.

WaterTower Theatre in Addison, TX is offering a new holiday concert Ella's Swinging Christmas, A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald as part of their 25th Anniversary Season. Feleceia Wilson performs seventeen of Fitzgerald’s iconic arrangements of Christmas classics like "Jingle Bells," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," as well as some of Ella’s most iconic hits such as "Blue Skies" and "A Tisket, A Tasket." She is accompanied by musicians Kwinton Gray (piano), KJ Gray (upright bass) and Jackie Whitmill (percussion).
ELLA will be available via video on demand from Friday November 27 - Sunday January 3, and is not tied to specific show times to allow families to watch at any time of day this holiday season. Tickets are $16 for single viewers or $26 for a multiple viewers (family style) on WaterTower's website.

Muse: Discover Musicals, giving you a front-row seat to groundbreaking new musicals in development.
Spotlighting a wide range of new musicals and bringing their stories, songs and characters to life with the help of the shows’ writers, Muse is a behind-the-scenes showcase of some of musical theatre’s most compelling and daring new voices. Each episode features in-studio performances of original songs, table reads and interviews. The first season of Muse has just been released and features five episodes, each highlighting a new musical that was developed through NAMT’s Festival of New Musicals. All five episodes are now available for free to listeners on all major podcasting platforms, including Apple PodcastsSpotifyGoogle Podcasts and Stitcher. Listeners can also visit the podcast website at discoverthemuse.com to listen to the episodes and to find more information about the individual shows and authors.
