Congratulations to seniors Anyiel Akec, Daniel Lu and Allison Szalay who have been named 2022 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists! These students will now be considered for finalist standing and the opportunity to compete for more than $31 million in scholarships!
Congratulations to Dowling Catholic's 2021 Homecoming Court! Queen candidates: Emily Allen, Lashley Bitting, Kathleen Cain, Colleen Cain, Eva Lynner, Zuzia Wheeler and Becca Youngers. King candidates: Joe Baumhover, William Bussey, Maada Brewah, Joe Hancock, Tommy Hancock, Daniel Lu and Jason Oberlin. Coronation will take place at the pep assembly on Friday, Sept. 24 and the court will be recognized that evening during the football game vs. Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln. Go Maroons!

Freshman Parent Information Night

arents of students whose counselors are Mrs. Schulte (Last names Lp-R) or Mrs. Cooling (Last names S-Z plus International students). This session will help complete your family’s transition to DCHS through a Q&A with counselors and administration. If you missed your assigned session please feel free to attend.
Costa Rica
Students interested in learning more about the upcoming Costa Rica trip are invited to attend a meeting on Sept. 23 at 7:45 am or 3:15 pm in Room 102. Click here for more information. The trip will take place June 6-14, 2022. Students may see Mr. Peterson for more details.

Dowling Club
Be a part of the tradition! Since 1941, Dowling Club members have been raising awareness, enthusiasm and funding for Maroons in extracurricular activities. Membership provides admission to all home athletic events and a one-time 15% Campus Store discount (some restrictions apply). Purchase online
Free Meals
Meals in the cafeteria are free for all students for the 2021-2022 school year. Each student may choose one Maroon breakfast meal and/or one Maroon lunch meal at no cost on days that these meals are served. Please click on the cafeteria tile in OnCampus for more information. 
Transportation Reimbursement
-Students living in the Des Moines Public School District (DMPS) ONLY must fill out the
nonpublic transportation reimbursement form ONLINE if you live three miles, one-way from DCHS. DMPS will NOT accept paper copies. 
-Ankeny residents must also submit the reimbursement form ONLINE
-If you do NOT live in the DMPS or Ankeny districts but live more than three miles, one-way from DCHS, please submit the reimbursement form to the public school address in which you reside. Forms must be submitted by mail each semester (due Dec. 1 and May 1). Eligible families will receive one check in August.

We Are Maroons Annual Appeal
We invite all parents to support the Annual Appeal which impacts every aspect of the DCHS experience. OCT 7: Grandparents Mass
Please join us for this special day where guests will have the opportunity to visit campus and celebrate Mass with their grandchildren. The program will begin at 8:45 am with special guest speakers followed by Mass and refreshements. Additional details to follow.  Please complete this form so we know who will be joining us. OCT 24: Pancake Breakfast  
The Pancake Breakfast is back! Celebrate 60 years of this great DCHS tradition! Current parents may purchase tickets through your OnCampus account. Simply log in, click on the Smart Tuition tile, click Purchase Optional Items and then select your student's name(s). Do you know other people that want to join the fun? Feel free to share this link with alumni, friends or family members. Be sure to ask your student about the new ticket sales incentive program that was just announced!
