Welcome back, Lakers! I hope you are returning to campus feeling rested, refreshed, and ready to begin a new year and new semester at GVSU. January is a great time to start fresh, get focused, and set yourself up for sucess. Here are a few things to consider as you navigate the first week of class:
- Get Organized! This week is the perfect time to review all your course syllabi in detail and make note of all important due dates and deadlines- write these down in a planner, enter them on your device, or put up sticky notes on your wall or bulletin board. Know what's coming in the weeks ahead, so you can prepare accordingly.
- Be proactive with your academic success! Consider attending one or more Academic Success Workshops through the Student Academic Success Center- topics include: time management, study strategies, exam prep, and more.
- Make time for you! Don't forget that your physical, emotional, and mental well-being is top priority. Check out all the GVSU Recreation & Wellness has to offer, and stay connected with on campus events by subscribing to the Laker Weekly.
Happy New Year!
