Register for the 2023 RCE Americas Meeting!Sep. 27- 29, 2023

RCE Greater Atlanta is excited to be hosting the RCE Americas Regional Meeting this year! The theme of this year's conference is "Youth Engagement -- Empowering Our Youth to Be Changemakers." This meeting will provide an opportunity for RCEs in the region to showcase youth engagement and youth network activity, building on the already engaged coalition of youth across RCEs in the Americas. In addition, we will follow-up on previous conversations and actions agreed upon at the 2022 meeting related to the RCE Americas governance structure. This meeting is intended to be an in-person meeting, with provisions made for a virtual option for those unable to travel to Atlanta.
Registration for in-person attendance closes Friday, September 8th at 11:59 EST. Registration for online attendance closes Friday, September 13 at 11:59 EST.

SDG Futures Fellowship Application is Live!Application Deadline: September 24, 2023

RCE Greater Atlanta’s SDG Futures Fellowship has officially opened its applications for the 2023-2024 cohort! The SDG Futures Fellowship is an year round youth programgeared towards students and young professionals in the Greater Atlanta area who have a strong interest and passion for sustainability. Fellows will gain experience in professional development as well as fostering community partnerships and development. You can learn more about our previous year’s cohort below

Clean Cities Georgia Transportation SummitSeptember 27, 2023 | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm E.T.

Hosted in partnership with The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Gas Light, Georgia Chamber, Georgia Power, and Southface Institute, this event will be an opportunity to build public-private partnerships and talk about successes and challenges with all forms of clean transportation, including biofuels, electric, hydrogen, natural gas and propane, both within Georgia and the region. Come and hear from experts applying the right fuel to the right applications.
This event will also be in honor of U.S. D.O.E.’s National Clean Cities Network’s 30th Anniversary, and Clean Cities Georgia as the first coalition founded in 1993. The Summit will be from 8:30 to 5:00 on Wednesday, September 27th at the Georgia Tech Exhibition Hall with a reception to follow. Additionally, stay tuned for more info about the follow-up EV Car Show that Saturday, September 30th in Atlanta.

This event is hosted by the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business and the Scheller College DE&I Council Book Discussion Group. Co-sponsored by Georgia Tech Net Impact, Blacks in Business, and Institute for Leadership & Social Impact.
Books will be available for purchase. A book signing will follow the conversation.

AQEarth Atlanta is a first-of-its-kind initiative to investigate air quality and pollution issues in our West Atlanta communities. AQEarth brings precision air monitoring technology to heavily industrialized areas so that residents can understand what is in the air they breathe.

If you would like additional assistance promoting your event through RCE channels, please contact us. The more time we have, the better we will be able to help get the word out. Please get us the information one month in advance of the event date, if possible.
The RCE newsletter is sent out in the first week of each month. Content is sourced from the Google Group, but RCE Members can also send projects, events, and stories to include! Please email rcegreateratlanta@gmail.com by the end of the previous month to be included in the following month's newsletter.
