Kindergarten Registration | PTO News

Dear Ordway Families,

Thank you for your participation this month in our parent information nights. We appreciate parents taking the time to join zoom meetings in the evenings so that we can provide information for upcoming fall opportunities well in advance. The information that has been shared so far includes BISD Options programs offered for grades K-4 (i.e. El Velero, Odyssey and Mosaic) and Kindergarten information for incoming families. If you were unable to attend any of these but are interested in learning more, please find the links to the webinar recordings are on the BISD website.

As this year has evolved from a fall with only remote learning access to an in-person learning option this winter, we are all optimistic about the upcoming year. In the meantime, the Spring Equinox is this week which marks the start of spring resulting in increasing daylight hours and warming temperatures. As Hal Borland stated “No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its turn” which is something we can all be grateful for.

Kind Regards,

Melinda Reynvaan

BISD Race, Equity & Identity Policy Community Survey

BISD is deeply committed to ensuring that children of every race, national origin, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, socioeconomic status, and ability, reach their full potential. We also have a particular responsibility to address racism. As a school district, that includes ensuring that we proactively eliminate any disparities in educational outcomes for students of all races.

We are committed to the values outlined in the Draft BISD Policy: Race, Equity & Identity. The purpose of this survey is to receive community input on what we may have missed or overlooked when drafting the policy.

We value your feedback. Please take a moment to fill out this survey with thoughtful, constructive comments.
The survey closes on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
