Fight the flu with Flulapalooza

Flulapalooza will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28. This fun-filled event is open to all VU students. There is no cost for the vaccine. Students should bring their Vanderbilt ID and wear short sleeves.

The Student Health Center recommends that all students get an influenza vaccination this fall—getting the flu shot is the best way to reduce the risk of getting and spreading the flu.

upgrades to Commons Dining Center this academic year 
to improve the student dining experience and offer a higher level of service.

The Vanderbilt Career Center recently partnered with Development and Alumni Relations to host a unique networking opportunity at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. The event gathered 80 members of the Vanderbilt community, including current students, to make connections, learn about top trends on Wall Street and hear best practices from four alumni who are financial industry experts.

The Office of Experiential Learning and Immersion Vanderbilt hosted the ninth annual Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Fair on Sept. 8 at the Student Life Center. This fall’s Undergraduate Research Fair was the best attended fair to date, with more than 700 guests and 160 students showcasing their work.

Student Service Fair is Sept. 28

Vanderbilt’s annual Student Service Fair will be Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Alumni Lawn. The event will bring more than 35 community partners, organizations and agencies with a variety of missions to Vanderbilt to interact with students who want to get involved in the Nashville community.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect individually with Nashville nonprofits and for student groups to forge new partnerships with local aid organizations.
