The Mardi Gras Career Expo is right around the corner! Happening on Friday, February 14th, noon - 4 p.m., this career fair is the perfect time for your student to network with local, regional, and national employers and learn about summer internships or full-time, post-graduate employment opportunities. More than 60 employers will be in attendance and recruiting for hundreds of opportunities across industries and majors. Coordinated by the Association of New Orleans Career Services Offices, this event will be held at the Audubon Tea Room (6500 Magazine St.) and open to students and alumni from Loyola University New Orleans, University of New Orleans, Xavier University of Louisiana, Southern University at New Orleans, and Dillard University. Free parking is available at the Audubon Tea Room, and the Career Development Center will provide a free shuttle for Loyola students. This shuttle will run on a loop from the Carrollton Turnaround to the Audubon Tea Room for the duration of the event.
Staff from the Career Development Center are here to help students prepare to make the most of this event. Career coaches are available by appointment Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and by walk-in on Mondays and Thursdays 2 - 4 p.m. In addition to preparing for a career fair, career coaches are available to meet with students to discuss any career or professional development topic including job and internship searching, major and career exploration, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing strategies and mock interviews, networking, graduate and professional school application, and much more!
