Because we actually *really* miss you.

Previously, on Ole Miss

We’re coming BACK. Before we do, let’s recap where Ole Miss stands for the Fall semester.

  • Encouraged, but not required.
  • If you have to quarantine and miss class, your in-person classes won’t switch to Zoom.
  • If you’re vaccinated and exposed to COVID but don’t have symptoms, you won’t have to quarantine or isolate.
  • If you get a two-dose shot in the next few weeks, you’ll be fully vaxxed by Fall semester.
  • Free COVID-19 vaccines are available at Student Health Pharmacy. COVID shots at Student Health aren’t charged to your insurance, so your vaccination status is confidential.
  • If you lose your vaccine card, you can print a copy of your immunization record with the MS State Department of Health website.

  • Not needed if you’re vaccinated (except in healthcare settings).
  • If you’re not vaccinated, social distance and wear a mask on campus.
  • Some people might wear a mask for other reasons than vaccination status, so don’t assume you know their business.

So... how do I do this?

Move-in starts August 14 and classes start August 23. Here’s what you should do before coming back to campus.

  • Bring your umbrella. And also sunscreen. It gets wild here.
  • If it’s your thing, decide which football games you want to go to and get those tickets as soon as you have a class schedule. They’re $155 each and you can order them and other sports tickets from olemisstix.com.
  • Get in the zone: If you need to buy a parking pass, register on the parking website starting at 8 a.m. on your designated day (see below) and make sure your car and license plate info are correct. You can also bike to and from class with the Ole Miss Bike Shop or take the free OUT buses! Make sure to plan out your commute – with more people on campus this semester, it could take longer than usual.

Out in the Grove

On June 12, hundreds of UM community members attended Oxford’s Out in the Grove pride celebration to support the LGBTQIA+ community on campus. The event included vendors, live performances and a drag show on the Grove stage!
The drag show featured Madyson Andrews Steele and was performed by an Ole Miss alum. Photo by Parker Peterson.
