Fall Athletics Update
Varsity Volleyball defeated Whitmer, Walsh Jesuit, and state-ranked Tiffin Calvert in the past week. The Arrows defeated rival Notre Dame Academy 3-0 on Monday in front of a sold-out field house! The JV team defeated Calvert, Whitmer, and NDA as well! The freshman beat Whitmer and NDA to complete program sweeps of those schools. Volleyball wraps up the regular season against Findlay.
Last weekend, the Crew team traveled to Columbus for the Hoover Fall Classic where the Double, rowed by Dakota Lambert and Ava Fighter, brought home the silver medal, and the Quad, rowed by Calla Bobak, Grace Perry, Elliette Bartlett, and Arden Goode, brought home the bronze medal. This weekend, the team is staying closer to home—the Docks at International Park—to compete in the Toledo Scrimmage. The Crew team encourages everyone to stop by the team tent to watch a few races and cheer on the Arrows! (The scrimmage will conclude by the early afternoon.)
The Golf team won both the OHSAA Sectional and District tournaments to advance to the State tournament! Payton Donnelly was the individual runner-up in both events. Contributing to the Arrow team score were Hannah Chung, Sophia Antypas, Emma Myers, and Kennedy Donnelly.
Tennis competed in the OHSAA Sectional tournament. Sophie Miller advanced in singles, winning the Sectional, while Sloan DeWood placed third in singles to also advance. The doubles teams of Marissa Patino and Meghan Barrow (Sectional runners-up) and Kat Batey and Lilly O'Neil (fourth place) also advanced.
Varsity Soccer defeated Ashland 1-0 and tied Findlay 0-0. The JV team defeated both Findlay and Ashland. Varsity hosts Central Catholic and both teams travel to Notre Dame Academy this week.
Cross Country competed in the Fostoria Invitational and placed second. Anna Steinmetz (5th), Aubrey Diller (13th), and Finley Andrzejczak (17th) all had Top 20 finishes! Also scoring were Kylee Quicker and Madilyn Polte. This week, the Arrows compete in the TRAC Championship at Clay.
