Dear SUA Families,

We have so much to be thankful for at St. Ursula Academy, including our Arrows, faculty and staff, families, and friends. We are truly blessed that you share your daughters with us and for that we are undeniably thankful!

Midterm progress for Term 2 is ready to view in PowerSchool as of Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Phantom of the Opera Tickets

SUA's winter musical tickets are officially available to purchase! Click on the link below to purchase through the Valentine Theatre's website.

As a reminder, all ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. If you wish to buy tickets using a credit card with a ZIP codes outside of a 45-mile radius, you must call the Valentine Theatre Box Office at (419) 242-2787.

Phantom of the Opera Patrons

Please consider becoming a Phantom of the Opera patron. Patrons receive recognition in the program (a variety of ad/shoutout sizes are available) and an invitation to our Patron Reception (invite-only, pre-show celebration) on Friday, January 27, 2023. All patron support is 100% tax deductible. If you would like to become a patron of our musical, you may purchase a patron package at the link below.

School Closing/Delay for Inclement Weather

If Sylvania Schools are closed or delayed, St. Ursula Academy will be closed or delayed accordingly. Radio and television stations will not mention St. Ursula by name for weather-related delays or closings.

Freshman Retreat

The Freshman Class Retreat is this Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Ursuline Center (4045 Indian Road Toledo, OH 43606), located next to SUA. This retreat will serve as the perfect opportunity for your daughters to grow closer as a class.

We will provide lunch for the day. Students do not have to wear their uniforms and should dress comfortably to take part in various activities throughout the day. If you have questions, please contact Campus Minister Mrs. Pelz at lpelz@toledosua.org.

Scrip Kroger Community Rewards

St. Ursula remains appreciative of all families who shop at Kroger and designate our school as the recipient of their Community Rewards funds. October 31 was the end of a Kroger quarter, so it is now time for Community Rewards participants to view their contribution balance.

If you wish to receive tuition credit, please follow these instructions:

Log in to www.krogercommunityrewards.com.
Sign into your account.
Click “Account Summary” and make sure that your Community Rewards are designated to St. Ursula Academy Scrip LI407.
In this same section of the page, you will see your “Last Quarter Donation” amount listed. If you take a screen print of that page and send it to the Finance Office, we will ensure your tuition account is credited.

Please be aware that the Rewards Donations for the current school year will be credited to your daughter’s 2023-2024 tuition unless your daughter is a current senior in which case it will be credited to her 2022-2023 tuition.

Christmas Celebration at the Zoo

SUA's Christmas Celebration at the Toledo Zoo is on Saturday, December 10, with Freshmen and Sophomores starting at 5:30-6:00 p.m. and Juniors and Seniors starting from 6:30-7:00 p.m.

Students can buy tickets from Student Council members during lunch and seminar for $50. Tickets include a parking pass, ticket to the Lights Before Christmas event, and entrance into the Great Hall with appetizers and a DJ.

SUA has received nominations for Toledo City Paper's "Best of Toledo" awards in three categories—Best High School, Best Private School, and Best Local Theater Group for our Performing Arts program!

You may vote once per day through Dec. 15.

Attention Winter Athletes and Families

The Athletic Department and the Arrows Booster Club are hosting a Winter Pre-Season Celebration tonight beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Field House. Come meet the Basketball, Swimming, Gymnastics, and Dance teams and coaches! The Dance team will perform, and food will be provided afterward.
