Morning Family,

I hope you were able t0 find 30 minutes for yourself this Sunday morning to continue working on how you will close 2019 and goals and visions you have for 2020.  Last newsletter I talked about a few personal goals for 2019 I had that either did or didn't come to fruition.  This morning I continue with coffee, laptop and gel pens to finish this project  up.  A few notes I took down early in the year I transferred to the first page of every month in my planner.  Yes, planner.   I'm a paper and gel pen kind of girl. I have the laptop and ical and all that stuff too, but my Lilly Pulitzer Day Planner and my 100 pack of gel pens makes me happy.   Most especially when the gel color glides like thin glue to the paper and leaves a colorful stain of a goal I am to reach.   I love that shit.   Anywho, here are a few I looked back on this morning:

  • Do not give your time to the things that drain you, the thoughts that bring you down, or the people who break your heart.

  • You are not required to change all at once.   You are required to be brave enough to make small changes one day at a time.

  • You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you.  True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic.  If words control you that means everyone else can control you.   Breathe and allow things to pass.

  • Know exactly what you deserve and accept nothing less and do not stress over anything that is not helping  you to improve  your life.

  • One life.  Just one.   Remember this each and every day you wake your eyes up.

This was my coffee time for Dec. 8th along with talking with you, journal writing, and coffee.   I hope you make time to reflect back and then to begin looking forward.

SWEAT News...

Thank you to those that came out for our Moving in Movember event last Saturday.  Pat Kelly and a several of his Firefighting Men from the Orlando Fire Department Station 5 were here.  We worked our asses off and it was a shit load of fun.  We were able to contribute $275 to their team's fundraising efforts.  All in all, the total for the Orlando Fire Department raised was $4805.00.  This money will go toward raising awareness for men's heath!  Just like women get October.....our men get November. 

Do you have any feedback or suggestions you'd like to share regarding the gym or our class schedule for the New Year?  Now's your chance!  We're looking for any thoughts you'd like to provide to help us continue to make SWEAT a top notch facility for your home away from home! This is your chance to voice anything you'd like to have added in or changed moving into 2020.
Each year, SWEAT brings the Christmas cheer by hosting the most fun and entertaining classes during a time of year that most feel stressed.    
We will not disappoint for 2019!! 

This year, though, the spirits of the townspeople of College Park are   
dampened within the 32804 with the recent news of a heinous slaying           on Smith Street.  None other than Old Saint Nick has been taken down           in a mystery unsolved by all!  

Currently, a vigorous investigation is underway, and the members of the gym have become increasingly suspicious of each other.  A press conference was held and the citizens were instructed to go about business as usual until details begin to unveil themselves.  

The annual Christmas cheer at SWEAT must go on, as Santa would have wanted it that way.  

BUT….the question remains…Who Slayed Santa??

Before class is over, we will find out who the guilty member is!!

This ride will benefit two families that SWEAT has adopted this holiday season through the help of Darcy Ravndal and their project w/Edgewater High School.  More details to follow regarding the items needed for these kids who, without our help, would have zero for Christmas this year.  Zero.  Nothing.  

Tuesday 12/24:
Christmas Eve Craze: 8:30 - 9:30 am

Have you ever built a Christmas Tree using only Dumbells?   Have you climbed up a house to the rooftop in  a Santa outfit?   How 'bout pushed a sleigh around to deliver toys? Chances are slim your answer is yes.  So, book yourself for the Christmas Eve Workout so that you can experience all these things while burning calories to prep you for the Big Day!!

Thursday 12/26:
Gettin' New Year's Ready: 8:30 - 9:30 am
It's time to work off all the Christmas fruit cakes, cocktails and chocolates galore.  We need to clean up and get you lookin' smokin' hot for your NYE festivities.  No rest for the weary with this one.  Every minute will count.  Every rep will count.  

In the Kitchen...Santa Clausmopolitans


  • Lime wedge, for rim
  • White sanding sugar
  • 1 c. vodka
  • 1 1/2 c. cranberry juice
  • 1/4 c. triple sec
  • 1/4 c. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 c. fresh cranberries

  • Run a lime wedge around each glass then dip in sanding sugar.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice then add vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and lime juice. Shake until the cocktail shaker is cold.
  • Divide drinks between rimmed glasses and add cranberries for garnish.
