Responding to Team Member Critical Needs

For many hard-working Americans, it’s a struggle to make ends meet.
That’s true for some Christian Living Communities associates. In response, last year the Team Member Critical Needs Assistance Program was established. The program, which is strictly funded through donations, offers one-time, emergency grants for qualifying team members who need extra support with a housing or transportation shortfall.
Thus far, six team members have been helped. Thanks to the generosity of more than 50 donors, we have raised an additional $7,000, nearing our goal of $10,000 and enabling us to assist even more team members in need.

Partnerships with a Purpose
Recently, the Morrison Senior Living chefs—our dining partner at Casey’s Pond in Steamboat—taught residents, family members and team members to make salsa. Not only did they share the taste-bud enticing recipes but also educated the residents about nutritional components.

The experience was part of what Morrison Senior Living is calling "The Teaching Kitchen" which demonstrates the commitment of our business partners to helping create vibrant and enriching cultures for older adults. The Teaching Kitchen will soon be offered at all communities.
