Commemorating the Beginning
Last week, Christian Living Communities marked our 46th anniversary as we celebrated Founder’s Day with birthday cake and a special breakfast for friends, board members, leadership and others who have invested in the mission of the organization.

It was May 7, 1972, that our first community, what is now known as Clermont Park, opened its doors and began offering love, respect and compassion to older adults in Denver.

“The Christian Living Campus was always intended to be, and always was, equally open to those from other traditions if they were in need of the services provided," is an appropriate quote from Elmer Houtsma, the first Nursing Home Administrator for The University Hills Christian Nursing Home, now part of Clermont Park and the birthplace of Christian Living Communities.

May is Older Americans Month
Each May the Administration on Aging recognizes Older Americans Month. This year’s theme is "Engage at Every Age," which emphasizes that you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.That’s something we’ve long embraced at Christian Living Communities.

In celebration of Older Americans Month, enjoy this short video of residents engaging in a vibrant life.
