Campus Mask Update

In compliance with state law and the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, UTHSC is withdrawing the mandatory indoor mask requirement effective immediately on all our campuses in non-patient care areas. However, the University strongly encourages everyone to wear a mask indoors while on campus to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

 

UTHSC-operated clinics (e.g. Dentistry, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and University Health Services) and our patient-care building (Dunn Dental Building) must continue with CMS masking and social distancing requirements for patient care areas as UTHSC’s review of the regulatory CMS requirements for these clinics is ongoing.

2021 Performance Evaluations for Staff

Performance Evaluations for 2021 (January – December) for all regular staff employees (including post-doctoral research associates) hired before July 1, 2021, should be submitted to Human Resources by Thursday, March 31, 2022.

 

Performance evaluation forms are located on the HR website. The department is only required to provide HR with the summary form. All other tools or assessments for employees and managers can be maintained in your department.

Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines (including Boosters) Available at University Health Services

University Health Services (UHS) has flu and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available for employees and students. The vaccine is in limited supply and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. UHS is supplying all doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of where you are in the series. UHS is located on the 9th floor of the 910 Madison Building on the Memphis campus.

 

Flu vaccinations can be self-scheduled on the UHS patient portal. COVID-19 vaccination appointments must be scheduled by UHS staff due to the difference in preparation. Please call UHS at 901.448.5630 to schedule your appointment.

RingCentral is Coming in 2022

In 2022, RingCentral, a Voice-over IP (VoIP) system, will be replacing our antiquated UTHSC telephone system.

 

A VoIP system allows you to make calls over the internet instead of through a traditional phone network. It's a newer technology that is more flexible and offers many benefits we didn't have with our old system. Plus, it will help us avoid outages, which have been increasing with the old system).
