    Request for Proposals: Public Relations Firm

    Travel Oregon is soliciting proposals from qualified public relations firms for the development and implementation of a comprehensive public relations program. We RFP process is seeking qualified applicants and proposals that will demonstrate the ability to gain positive media coverage for both consumer and industry audiences, create and manage cutting edge PR events and activations and create well-written content to support media for industry and consumer-facing work.

      U.S. Travel Announces Emerging Travel Industry Leaders

      Congratulations to Travel Oregon’s Petra Hackworth and Travel Portland’s Megan Conway! Petra and Megan were selected to participate in U.S. Travel’s inaugural class of 22 Emerging Travel Leaders. The program was created to expand the exposure, knowledge and capability of rising travel leaders as they build careers in the travel and tourism field. 
      Petra has been with Travel Oregon since March 0f 2007. She started her career as a a Sales Manager. Prior to her work at Travel Oregon, she spent time at Travel Portland, Lufthansa German Airlines and several Portland hotels. 
      Megan has been with Travel Portland for 12 years. She spent a few years at the Adidas Headquarters in Portland and prior to her work at Adidas she was at Travel Portland and Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory.

        FEMA's Grant Program Offering Virtual Trainings

        FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of virtual trainings on the federal procurement rules applicable to recipients and subrecipients when purchasing in support of a FEMA award or declaration. The one-hour training sessions will be offered most Wednesdays from February through June 2022. The training is intended for FEMA award recipients and subrecipients, including state, local, tribal, and territorial government personnel; nonprofit organization staff; eligible private entities; and other non-federal entities.

          Reminder: Travel Oregon's Draft Transformational Strategy Open for Comment

          Travel Oregon’s 2022-2031 Draft Transformational Strategy is currently open for public comment. Comments must be submitted by February 21 at 5 p.m.
          The strategy is designed to be a high-level — one that is a crucial response to adapt our mission to meet the most timely and significant opportunities and needs of our residents, industry and visitors. We invite you to join us on this journey of transformation and are looking forward to any comments you may have during this draft iteration.

            Join Travel Oregon for the second of IITA’s Steps to Success webinar, where we’ll dive deeper into the mechanics of working with international inbound operators.
