Introducing our amazing Volunteer of the Month, Terri!! Terri is originally from the great city of Detroit, MI where she became a Harley riding Paralegal (I mean, how cool is that??)...a few years ago, her sister moved to Omaha and Terri had the opportunity to work she did! Being close to family was more important than anything so she took that leap. One of her lifelong dreams was to learn about horses; she is actively pursuing that dream as we speak. If you have worked alongside Terri, you would never guess she doesn't have much horse experience. She is SO comfortable around our horse friends, you would think she has been working around them her entire life! She automatically steps up to the plate when she sees something needs to be done or sees that someone needs help. Terri is not one to leave someone hanging! When the need arose for help in feeding, she didn't hesitate to step up to the plate and has already become so acclimated to horses and what we do here at VRA, she has already been a regular side walker during the day for sessions. This lady is a fast learner and can run circles around anyone that comes out to help. Terri, we are so very grateful that you stumbled across VRA to help fulfill your dreams....we are truly blessed to have you as part of our family :)
