FDA Expands Booster Shot Authorization The FDA granted emergency use authorization for boosters of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for all adults 18 years or older. Individuals become eligible for a Pfizer or Moderna booster dose six months after their second shot. The next step is for the CDC to grant their approval as well. CDC guidelines allow for mixed boosters. Visit Protect Texas Together to learn about vaccination sites on campus. If you are having difficulty scheduling a booster on campus, please go to this CDC site to find other providers.
