Thomas William Jones '64 of Snohomish, Washington, was awarded the Joan Ashley Rothermel Memorial award from the America Watercolor Society's 152nd Annual Exhibition in New York this past April. His painting "Torn Maples" will be included in the AWS traveling exhibition throughout the midwest and east coast this year.
Tom Roese '71 had drawings installed in the permanent collection at University Hospitals Landerbrook.
David Verba '80 has a drawing being used as a cover illustration for a French book, Don't Be Afraid, written by Bernard Florentz. The book will be published by Editions Malpertuis.
Miriam Omura '03 has a solo show at the Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden, Alabama, called Fabric of Society. The show runs through June 21. Read the press release here.
Desiree Oza-Zajacz '03 will show two watercolor paintings at Ursuline College’s Florence O’Donnell Wasmer Gallery group exhibit, 2019 Summer Mash-Up! on view June 7-28. A public opening reception will be held Friday, June 7, from 5 to 8pm in the gallery. She will also be at Saks Fifth Avenue Beachwood creating live fashion illustrations on June 8 from 2 to 4pm.
