Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) for CUP patients in England

Those who view our blog will know that, for some time, we have been attempting to clarify the use of WGS for CUP in England. The all important 'Test Directory' that enables tissue to be sequenced at regional Genomic Laboratory Hubs is about to be updated.

Cholangiocarcinoma found to be significant in liver-involved CUP patients

Research by Dr Natalie Cook's (pictured) CUP group at the Christie in Manchester has found that a significant number of provisional CUP patients meet the criteria to be treated as bile duct cancer patients.

Awareness Week September 2022

SJK Foundation (Ireland) and Missie Tumor Onbekend (Netherlands) – two national CUP patient organisations – organised some excellent webinars for World CUP Awareness Week in September in conjunction with SBK. Speakers included Dr Tony Greco, Dr Natalie Cook and Professor Penny Schofield of our Advisory Board.
