FROM THE OFFICE
A Few Reminders from the Office...

Transportation Changes:  If you are changing your student's after-school transportation, please contact the office at wilbus@bisd303.org. Students are only able to ride their bus to and from home or to after-school care.  We are unable to transport for play dates or after school activities.
Attendance:  If your student will not be at school or will be arriving late, we need to know! Please report your student's absence by emailing wilattend@bisd303.org, calling (206) 780-3050 or entering the asbsence into Skyward Family Access.
Lost and Found:  Please label your student's coats, water bottles and sweatshirts so we can reunite items with their owners.

Picking Up Early:  When you are picking up your student early, call the Wilkes Office at 206-842-4411 as you are pulling into the bus loop.  We will call your student out of class while you wait in your car at the black mailbox. Students must be picked up by 12:30 or 2:00.  For any pick-ups after this time, you must use the regular pick-up loop.
SCHOOL BOARD VACANCIES
Are you passionate about the role of public education in our community? Do you live on the south end (District 4) or the north end (District 1) of Bainbridge? If so, consider becoming a school board member!
Resignation letters were submitted from Director Christina Hulet (District 4) and Director Lynn Smith (District 1). In both letters, Hulet and Smith referenced how proud they were to have served on the school board and that they believed it was time to provide space for other community members to lend their voices and leadership skills.

BISD will appoint individuals for the remainder of the terms (both terms expire in November 2023). School Board Directors provide the district with leadership, strategic direction and help shape the district’s educational programs.

To be eligible, one must meet these qualifications:
  1. Be a citizen of the United States
  2. Be a qualified voter of the Bainbridge Island School District
  3. Live within the boundaries of District 4 or District 1
  4. Is not employed by the district. If the Director's partner/dependents are employed by the district as a classified or certificated employee before their spouse becomes a director, the contract can be renewed for further employment.
