10 year Cancer Plan binned

Health Secretary, Steve Barclay, has announced that Government will not be publishing the long awaited 10 Year Cancer Plan which has been years in development.

Annual Report & Accounts

Last year's Annual Report and Accounts were lodged with the Charity Commission in December. The 15th report of the charity since it was registered in May 2007.

Stats update

The latest data produced by CRUK's excellent stats team, show CUP is now the 15th commonest cancer in the UK (8,589 new cases). It was 7th commonest 10 years ago. CUP is presently the 6th highest cause of UK cancer deaths after cancers of the Lung, Bowel, Breast, Prostate and Pancreas.

New ESMO CUP Guideline

The new European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Clinical Practice Guideline for CUP diagnosis, treatment and follow-up was published December 2022. There is an urgent need for the NICE 2010 Guideline to be reviewed and representations have been made to NICE .........
