Dear St. Lukers,
What a great month we have had serving God’s Neighborhood in so many ways. The fields have been full every weekend with children from three year olds through middle school playing soccer and learning how to reveal the Kingdom through teamwork and fun. We have had our buildings full on Saturdays with the District United Methodist Women’s retreat, Trunks, Treats & More, support groups, and teams working to end hunger in Central Florida. Social media has been flooded with people visiting our Pumpkin Patch and capturing fall family photos like the ones below taken by St. Luker Howard Clifton.
Again and again, there have been Kingdom moments hosted by you, dedicated St. Lukers, living into discipleship in creative and powerful ways. Thank you for all you do to continue to serve God’s Neighborhood as salt and light.
When we look at our life as the blessing it is from God, we realize we have all that we need and then some. When we look back and see where we trusted enough to share our gifts from God, we also realize the mathematics of God’s economy is never simple addition, it’s exponential. Your gifts, added to other St. Luker’s gifts, have helped us accomplish tremendous things this year.

Looking Ahead at St. Luke's
Can you think of someone who built you up by saying “I believe in you! You can do this!” Do you want to pay it forward and be an ally for somebody else? The Circles program in East Winter Garden is a great place to build a cross-cultural community, and to learn from one another while walking alongside a low-income family, encouraging them to achieve their goals.
Join the community of Circles today to be 1 of 40 allies. To learn more, click the button below, or contact Amy Winslow.
St. Luke’s is partnering with Rosen JCC and other faith leaders in Central Florida to offer a community forum on Gun Violence and Hate. Please join us on Sunday, November 10 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rosen JCC on Apopka-Vineland Rd. for this important conversation.
Support youth nutrition classes in East Winter Garden by attending a fun, educational, and healthy holiday demonstration cooking class lead by vegan Chef Sandi Morais. The Dessert class is Saturday, December 7 ($35 per adult) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Building C Kitchen. Children (ages 12-16) are $25 per child, per class. Space is limited, so click the button below to register by November 25.
On Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Santos Welcome Hall, Ten Thousand Villages (TTV) will bring their fair trade and holiday-focused merchandise for sale. TTV strives to improve the livelihood of thousands of under-resourced and disadvantaged artisans in 38 developing countries. 20% of the proceeds will help ZOE children who are working to pull themselves out of poverty start their own businesses, build community, and get access to education and health care. Visit st.lukes.org/fairtrade for more information.
