Updates From Cara, CO Gives Day, Voices From Across Our Circle & More!
Catch the third episode of catching up with Cara as she dives into winter programs, Colorado Gives Day, and the Alumni Webpage as we go into the month of December.
Alumni, you've let us know our programs played a foundational role as you grew up. You not only discovered the joy of sliding on snow or sleeping under the stars but also found a caring community that encouraged you to tap into your full potential to achieve your goals. Now it's time to pay it forward to the next generation of SOS participants as they experience the same life-changing programs you did. Today is Colorado Gives Day and gifts of all sizes help the next generation of SOS participants thrive.

Every gift will be MATCHED up to $85,000 by Vail CEO Rob Katz and his wife Elana Amsterdam!
PLUS: CO Gives Day features $1 Million Incentive Fund which means every donation scheduled will be boosted!
In the third episode of "Continuing the Circle", Cara interviews SOS Board Secretary, Bobby Murphy on the mountain experience that Bobby wants to share with everyone through his company and his team.

Check out our Alumni Webpage resource library for more interviews with leaders within our network, browse current job opportunities in the industry, and hear from other alumni in the network.
Our December Alumni spotlight is on Jessa who joined SOS Outreach in Eagle County, CO when she was in 4th grade. Jessa grew up with her dad in a single-parent household. The mountain community of Eagle County, Colorado was home, known for its striking peaks and world-class skiing and snowboarding. Jessa’s dad thought it would be a good idea for his daughter to join SOS. It would provide a connection to snowboarding and a way to meet new friends. Jessa leaned on her mentors and SOS community to help her achieve her goals. She worked hard—balancing school, the SOS curriculum, a social life, and multiple jobs. Jessa had always dreamt of being an interior designer.“Since I was 11, I had dreams of being an interior designer,” reflects Jessa. “I was completely obsessed with any school project that was related to interior space and art.”  Continue reading Jessa's story and how she followed her passion for interior design to New York City with the support of SOS.
By "alumni", we mean any former youth participants of our programs
