  • Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc.   • Ronald Hamburger Inducted into The National Academy of Engineering. The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) inducted sixty-seven new members, including Senior Principal Ronald Hamburger. Membership in the Academy is the highest honor bestowed upon an engineer.  According to the NAE’s website, “members have distinguished themselves in business and academic management, in technical positions, as university faculty, and as leaders in government and private engineering organizations."   • SGH staff help launch U.S. Resiliency Council and Building Rating System. 
    The U.S. Resiliency Council (USRC) recently launched its Earthquake Building Rating System, which allows building owners to understand expected levels of performance in earthquakes.   • Glenn Bell was inducted into the University of California, Berkeley, Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Academy of Distinguished Alumni at a ceremony in Berkeley, California, on 8 October 2015.  CEE graduates must be nominated by an existing member of the Academy and elected by the entire group of Distinguished Alumni.  Click here to read more.
