Can you believe classes begin on Monday?!
Fall 2022 is here and we are excited to have our students back on campus! Make sure you have confirmed your course schedule and are clear on course expectations. 
Throughout the semester and beyond, ISSS is here to support the Miami international community.
Make sure to read all emails from international@MiamiOH.edu, including our weekly newsletter that we send every Friday throughout the semester (which you are hopefully reading right now😉). Your questions can also be sent to international@MiamiOH.edu.
New Miami international students and Miami international students preparing to graduate should also expect additional communications from us throughout the semester.

Important Dates
August 22 - Fall semester classes begin. 
August 24 (at 11:59pm) - Registration/Change of schedule via Bannerweb ends. Make sure to review enrollment requirements before making any changes. Read more below in the Immigration Tip section for information about how to connect with ISSS for advising if you have any questions.
September 5 - No classes (Labor Day Holiday)

Welcome Weekend is a series of events and programs designed to welcome students to Miami University before the start of fall semester classes.

Global Friendship Shopping Trip to Kenwood Towne Centre
Visit a premier shopping destination to get styled and prepped for the fall season! Join ISSS on a bus trip to Kenwood Towne Centre for a day of shopping and dining. 
Register for $5 bus trip to Kenwood for Shopping/Dining
11:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, September 3 
(Please note: Saturday, September 10 there will be another shopping trip to Jungle Jim's International Market. Next week's InternatioaList newsletter will have registration details. )

You can send questions to international@MiamiOH.edu or schedule an ISSS advising appointment for questions/issues that may need to be discussed in detail.
Please note that the following topics always require scheduled appointments: 
  • Government applications (e.g. OPT)
  • University Withdrawal
  • Academic Standing (probation/suspension)
Students can also meet with ISSS staff for quick questions during drop-in advising hours:

ISSS encourages Miami University and local community members to connect with people from all over the world to develop new perspectives in the spirit of fellowship and appreciation for cultural difference. Read our tips for communicating across cultures.
Global Buddies connects domestic and international students.
Global Neighbors connects international students with Oxford community members and Miami faculty/staff.
(Please note participants will be matched in mid September or later as other participants join the program. Priority will be given to international students who are new to the U.S. and Miami.)
