The UMSL Innovations Online Marketplace is Live!

University partners in industry and community organizations can now access UMSL creative works with express, online licensing at UMSL Innovations (https://license.umsl.edu). 

The site provides for efficient licensing of  copyrightable materials, including software, digital works, online curriculum, training videos, and more, created by UMSL employees. We continue building the product listing; the initial featured product is the "We Came as Refugees: An American Story" play.  

UMSL Innovations also provides information about select patented inventions, although interested companies need to contact the Office of IP Management & Commercialization for licensing or other collaborations.

NSF Programs to Stop Accepting Proposals Via FastLane Website

The FastLane website (fastlane.nsf.gov) is scheduled to be removed as a submission option for National Science Foundation (NSF) funding opportunities in January 2023. Some programs in the NSF’s Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate have already stopped accepting proposals through FastLane, and others will stop accepting them over the remainder of 2022.

The transition from the FastLane website to Research.gov and Grants.gov is part of the NSF’s ongoing information technology modernization efforts.

NSF Partnerships for Innovation: technology translation (PFI-TT)

The PFI Technology Translation track offers the opportunity to translate prior NSF-funded research results in any field of science or engineering into technological innovations with promising commercial potential and societal impact. PFI-TT supports commercial potential demonstration projects for academic research outputs in any NSF-funded science and engineering discipline (e.g., proof-of-concept, prototyping, technology development and/or scale-up work. Concurrently, students and postdoctoral researchers who participate in PFI-TT projects receive education and) leadership training in innovation and entrepreneurship. Successful  projects generate technology-driven commercialization outcomes that address societal needs. Current application closing date: Jan 11, 2023  More Info
