   TAKE A  BREAK
As the semester nears its end, if the pressure to complete final projects and prepare for final exams has you stressed or overwhelmed, UNT has services, resources and events to help. Student Counseling is offering solution-focused sessions for students who are experiencing stress, anxiety and depression. And if you’re struggling to buy groceries or supplies right now, the UNT Food Pantry provides food and toiletries for students in need. As you prepare for and take exams, try to find time to rest and regain focus and memory. These events provide opportunities to destress and relax:
   BOWL GAME AHEAD
The Mean Green have accepted a bid to the Frisco Bowl! Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. Dec. 17 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco where the team, led by interim head coach Phil Bennett, will take on the Boise State Broncos. A special discounted ticket offer for students is coming to your UNT email. If you know of other Mean Green fans who need tickets, they’re encouraged to purchase them through the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office, since those purchases will financially support Mean Green student-athletes. Parking will be available for purchase when fans arrive on game day, at $20 per car, payable via cash or credit card. Stay tuned to Bowl Central for the latest information about the game and all the pre-game festivities.

   FALL COMMENCEMENT
We’re so proud of our graduates! Be sure and read the stories of this semester's Great Grads. They're a small sample of all the students who impress and inspire us daily.

If you're graduating, the deadline to order your regalia through Jostens has passed, but regalia is still available in limited quantities at the Barnes & Noble campus store through Friday, Dec. 16. As a reminder, all regalia purchases are final and cannot be returned to the store or vendor for refunds.

    NAME THE FAMOUS ALUM
In the Nov. 16 issue of UNT Weekly, we asked you to name  our UNT alumnus who also is one of the creators of the syndicated comic “Over the Hedge.” If you guessed “T Lewis,” you are correct! Lewis graduated with an art degree from UNT in 1976. He then worked for Disney Studios as an illustrator and cartoonist before creating the “Over the Hedge” comic strip, which became an animated movie. Thank you to everyone who participated and be on the lookout for the next trivia question.

    SHWC LAB SPECIALS
The Student Health and Wellness Center is offering a discounted rate on lab tests that screen for high cholesterol, thyroid issues, diabetes and other health problems. This week, through Friday, Dec. 9, you can take advantage of these lab specials ranging from $20 to $50. No appointment is necessary, but a UNT ID is required. Results will be available the following business day and sent to your online patient portal. If your week is already full and you can't squeeze in a visit, they'll have more lab testing specials in the spring.
