The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team would like to express our gratitude and respect to the more than 1400 international students, scholars, and their dependents who have made the journey to Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown and other nearby areas to become part of our Miami University community!

Important Dates
November 23 to November 27 | No classes and most university services will be closed or have shorter hours. Check the specific Miami facilities and services websites for schedule details.

If you plan on traveling outside of Oxford, Hamilton, or Middletown during Thanksgiving
Break, arrange accordingly for your residence hall or off-campus residence (turn off electronics, secure doors and windows, arrange pet care, etc.)

Campus Services offers airport shuttles before and after Thanksgiving break.

December 9 | End of semester and December Commencement

Homemade Holiday Cookies from Global Neighbors

International students, their family and friends are welcome to come pick up a variety of cookies and other delicious treats that are baked and generously donated by local community members living in Oxford and surrounding areas who want to support international students and scholars and help sweeten their winter days.
Come to the International Student Center to get some cookies at the following times:
- 1 - 5 p.m. on Monday, December 5
- 9 a.m - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6

International Student Graduation Reception
|

Graduating international students and their loved ones are invited to the International Student Center to enjoy global refreshments, meet with ISSS staff, take photos, receive a graduation gift, and leave their mark at Miami!
International students graduating in December or January received invitations via email.

| Apply to be an iPOL for Fall 2023
ISSS is looking for iPOLS to shape a positive orientation experience for new international students arriving in Fall 2023!

During your orientation, you had International Peer Orientation Leaders (iPOLs) who welcomed you to Miami and supported your arrival and transition to campus life and living in the U.S.
All domestic, international, undergraduate and graduate students who want to make an impact on new international students and support an inclusive global community are invited to read more about becoming an iPOL.
