New Hours & Registration for LLS COVID-19 Testing Center

Beginning August 1, the on-campus LLS COVID-19 Testing Center will offer expanded operating hours and a new registration system:
  • From August 1-14, the Testing Center will be open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. from Tuesday-Thursday. Starting August 15, it will be open 12-6 p.m. from Monday-Thursday.
  • Advance appointments will no longer be required. Individuals will simply submit a one-time registration in the university’s new portal and receive a personalized QR code. They can then walk up to the LLS Testing Center in the Bannan Room, near Sonia's on the first floor of the Burns Building, and show their personalized QR code for all future testing without needing to schedule an appointment.
  • LLS continues to offer free COVID testing to all students, staff, faculty, and contractors. To generate your personalized QR code for future COVID testing, please follow the registration prompts on the new online portal.

University Masking Protocols Remain Unchanged

Due to reduced transmission and hospitalizations, the L.A. County Department of Public Health announced that it will not move forward with universal indoor masking. As a reminder, at this time the university still requires masks for indoor meetings, gatherings, and learning spaces with 10 or more individuals. Please note that masks remain strongly recommended indoors regardless of gathering size, except when alone or while eating and drinking. As a reminder, masks are available at the LLS Info Center on the first floor of the Burns Building.
