USC University of Southern California

We are still accepting proposals for Fall 2020! The USC East Asian Studies Center has set aside funds for our affiliated faculty to invite guest speakers to their courses during the AY 2020-21. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to help faculty enrich their course content by adding an online guest lecture on a related topic. Faculty have the option of restricting the audience of the lecture to their students or opening the event to the wider EASC community to attend, although the latter is preferred. Each faculty may apply for the funds once a year and the Center will pay each speaker an honorarium of $500.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for the AY 2020-21 on a first-come, first-served basis.

A brief explanation of the proposed guest lecture and how the proposed talk will enrich your course content are required. Please upload a Word or PDF file in the application. If you have any questions, please contact easc@usc.edu.
