An opportunity to showcase cuisine from around the world will take place on the evening of Thursday, November 3.
Rice Battle is a cooking competition to determine the tastiest rice dish from around the world. Fried rice, sushi, jollof, pilaf, rice and beans, briyani, tteokbokki, rice pudding or something else... which is best??
There are still a few spots open if you (and a group of friends) would like to prepare a dish to compete in the Rice Battle.

Join the bus trip to Butterfield Farms (10 minutes from campus) on Saturday, October 22. Take part in classic American autumnal activities: hayride, corn maze, pumpkin carving, cow feeding, bonfire and s'mores making.
This is a family-friendly event; children of international students and scholars can participate for free.

OXtoberfest | 1:00-10:00 pm, Saturday, October 8
Traditional Oktoberfest contests and games will occur throughout the day in Uptown Park. There will also be German-themed performances, food and beverages. This family-friendly festival will provide activities and entertainment to appeal to guests of all ages.

Peking Acrobats | 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11

Trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting, and gymnastics - these acrobats push the limits of human ability. Accompanied by live musicians performing on traditional instruments with high-tech special effects and awe-inspiring entertainment creating the festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival in Millet Hall.

Come learn from Miami Admissions staff about the process and best practices of applying to U.S. graduate schools. ISSS staff will also share how to transfer your SEVIS record or update your I-20 for graduate studies. This info session will be offered via Zoom on October 19 from 1:00-2:00 pm.

International students are invited to read an age-appropriate story at at Mini University, the childcare center located on Western Campus on Monday, November 14 from 10-11am.
