| Introducing Python Wave!
This is a new program created to help our CIS 160, CIS 162, and CIS 163 students feel welcomed, supported, and connected from the beginning. They meet every Friday from 3 PM - 5 PM in the Student Success Center (MAK C-2-205).

The Student Academic Success Center's Accountability Group serves as an opportunity to connect with peers, sustain motivation, and be held accountable throughout the semester! Group members will hold each other accountable to individual academic goals that will be developed at the first meeting and revisited weekly. To assist in achieving members' goals, discussion on academic strategies such as time management, organization, procrastination and motivation, and study skills will be led by the group facilitators. The Winter 2023 group will be held over a five-week period on the following time and dates:

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING: Tutors Needed |
The School of Engineering is looking for tutors for EGR111 (Engineering Graphics), EGR112 (Programming for Engineering Applications), EGR113 (Intro to CAD/CAM), and EGR185 (1st Year Design). Tutoring will be performed as a combination of in-person and virtually. Preference will be given to those who can tutor all four courses and those who have been a tutor in past semesters. The new EGR111, EGR112, EGR113, and EGR185 courses replaced EGR106/107, so if you have completed either set of courses with a satisfactory grade (B+ or higher), you are qualified to be a tutor.
If you have been a tutor in the past, please reapply and provide your current availability.
Minimum Qualification: grade of B+ or better in the course to be tutored and completed 6 credits at GVSU
Pay: min $12 / hour

Sibs and Kids Weekend 2023: February 10 - 12 |
It's a new year, and we've got lots of fun programming lined up for our Lakers this semester including popular Sibs and Kids Weekend 2023! Get ready for a dino-mite time, and join your student, their siblings, kids, cousins, family friends, or any other dinosaur lovers ages 5+ to participate in Jurassic-themed events from Feb 10-12. Register before Feb 10 to take part in a comedy magic show, inflatables, crafts, dance parties, and more.
