Kim Germain, the Director of Office of External Fellowships, will lead a conversation on how fellowships can open the doors to students attending graduate and medical schools.
There will be lunch provided from Potbelly.

UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Initiative (LASURI)
There will be an student Q&A session on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM in 850 UH.
Question and answer sessions are offered to explain the LASURI process, discuss the components of a strong application, and answer student questions. A short presentation will be followed by open period for student questions. Students can come any time during the session.

Expanding Your Horizons Conference - Volunteers Needed
Expanding Your Horizons Chicago is a 1-day conference where 300 middle school girls participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math workshops. It will be held on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at UIC.

Volunteers are needed from 7:00 AM - 3:30PM (not all volunteer shifts last the entire day) to help the conference run smoothly.

HSF Scholarship
The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. 
The Hispanic Scholars Fund is awarding scholarships ranging from $500-$5,000 based on merit, relative need among scholars.
All majors and graduate fields are accepted. Emphasis on STEM majors.
Deadline for the application is on Friday, March 30th, 2018.

Hilda López-Arce Schoarlship

Are you a UIC Latinx undergraduate student? Do you display excellent leadship skills? Have you contributed to the Latinx community? Apply for this $500 scholarship.

Application deadline for the scholarship is on Friday, April 27th, 2018 by 11:59PM. This scholarship is open to UIC Latinx students as well as undocumented students.

Early Voting will take place on March 14th, 15th, and 16th in the SCE, Room 613. All Early Voting days will be held from 10AM - 5PM.

Navarro is currently a Republican commentator on CNN and CNN en Español and also a recurring panelist on ABC’s “The View.”
